Aly and Matt Egan struggled with infertility and desperately wanted to grow their family. In 2019, they turned to IVF and got 8 embryos. The first transfer worked and they were blessed with their miracle baby, Hank!

Aly has a rare genetic disorder called PKU - where she’s unable to process one of the amino acids found in protein, limiting her to only 11 grams of protein a day. Because of this, she was considered a high risk pregnancy. In 2023, they decided they were ready to grow our family and headed down the route of transferring another frozen embryo via IVF again.

Unfortunately, this transfer resulted in a loss. During that year, they would devastatingly lose three more of their babies with a total of four transfers, all ending in miscarriage. They also lost one of their embryos in the thawing process in preparation for a transfer, which was another form of heartbreak but the grief was all too familiar.

With two remaining embryos, the Egan’s sought out a surrogate. Surrogacy is expensive - anywhere from $80,000-$100,000. After spending $50,000 for their IVF transfers and miscarriages, the financial burden has been a lot to grow their family.

They were blessed to find an amazing surrogate who was six weeks pregnant with their 7th embryo. Tragically, this last weekend, they couldn’t find a heartbeat and she miscarried.

This heartbreaking scenario has put a lot of pressure on their family and we want to help lighten the load as they hope to be able to have a successful transfer and pregnancy with their last embryo.

For every share AND follow we get we will donate $1 to the Egan family up to our $25,000 goa
