Our beneficiary from July 16th-18th is sweet Lola Yang and her family! Commissions earned from our link clicks and coupon codes from July 16-31st will be given to their family to help with the cost of her cancer treatment.
Lola is an independent 2 year old whose “full of life” personality shines and makes everyone in the room and on the internet giggle.
Five days after Christmas, Lola was experiencing fatigue, loss of appetite, unexplainable bruises, petechiae, dark sunken under eyes, and a pale complexion. After taking her to the ER, they were initially told that she had ITP, but after further testing, doctors diagnosed her with B cell lymphocytic leukemia.
Lola started her first phase of treatment immediately after her diagnosis on January 2, 2024. She was hospitalized for 29 days and was finally able to go back home after she underwent surgery to have a g tube placed for medication purposes. She’s bravely battled through the next few phases of treatment resulting in several long hospitalizations due to high fevers and a weakened immune system.
She recently finished the most intense phase of treatment just a few days after July 4th. It caused her hair to fall out for the second time. Lola is also currently hospitalized due to another case of high fevers, most likely due to the back to back doses of new chemotherapy.
Lola and her parents have battled courageously through these past few months of frontline chemo, but with every medical diagnosis comes the hardship of finances. This treatment is a grueling 2 1/2 year journey and sacrifices have been made to ensure Lola gets the care she absolutely needs in order to win. Every dollar makes a world of a difference as they continue to fight as a family for their little Lola’s life.
